BOOKING CONDITIONS – effective 12/10/09

Linglyn Travel will accept bookings as a booking agent, your contract being with the owner or service supplier concerned.
Your booking is subject to the service supplier’s terms and conditions.

Linglyn Travel - Disclaimer - The role of Linglyn Travel is that of a "Booking agent". Representatives of Linglyn Travel will assist prospective rental guests attempting to make the correct decision about their choice of property or service, but the rental contract entered in to by the rental guest remains with the property owner or service provider and not with Linglyn Travel. While Linglyn Travel attempts to ensure that both the property descriptions and photo's used on its website are accurate this cannot be guaranteed. For this reason, the responsibility for the accuracy of property descriptions and photo’s displayed within the individual property webpages of the www.linglyntravel.com website is that of the property owner or service provider. Linglyn Travel cannot accept any liability for any errors, omissions, misunderstandings or claims made by a property owner about his/her property on the Linglyn Travel website. Linglyn Travel can also not be held responsible for any items at the rental property that are either missing, broken or in a state of disrepair. Rental guests booking their accommodation with Linglyn Travel do so in this knowledge. Property owners using the services of Linglyn Travel also do so in this knowledge.



  1. Bookings are accepted, subject to the services being available, by Linglyn Travel (the Agency) as agents only on the following conditions:   Bookings are not deemed binding until the client has received a written confirmation/invoice from the agency.The reservation will only be effected on receipt of the completed Booking Form and non-refundable appropriate deposit.  Where a booking is made within 9 weeks of departure, the full payment must be enclosed.

  2. The balance of the total holiday price must be paid no less than 9 weeks prior to departure or as stated on the confirmation/invoice.  If payment is not received by such date the agency reserves the right to cancel the holiday and the client could be liable to pay cancellation charges and lose his/her deposit.

  3. After acceptance of the booking, a holiday may only be cancelled by sending written notification to the agency or where a booking is treated as cancelled under paragraph 3 of these conditions, the client will be liable to pay the agency cancellation charges in accordance at the higher of the following scale, or as defined by any outside supplier.

  4. Deposit when cancellation is 63 or more days before departure.
            40%, when cancellation is 62-42 days before departure.
            60%, when cancellation is 41-29 days before departure.
            80%, when cancellation is 28-15 days before departure.  100%, when cancellation is 14 days or less before departure.

  5. If, after having booked and paid a deposit for a holiday, the client wishes to alter any of the arrangements made, a charge will be raised of the higher of £10.00 per person or such amount as defined by any outside supplier.  A change of departure date of a holiday made within 6 weeks of departure may be treated as a cancellation of the client’s booking and the cancellation charges above would apply.
                                                                                                       
  6.  Clients must observe the rules of the community relating to any accommodation provided.  Any accommodation provided for clients may be used only for the accommodation of the persons stipulated on the booking form, unless specifically agreed with the agency.  Subletting or assignment is not permitted.  The client shall be responsible for leaving the property let to him and the contents thereof in as good a state as the beginning of the letting and shall pay for any loss or damage thereto.

  7. In the event of a client not leaving the accommodation in as good order as they found it on arrival, or for any damage caused, there will be a requirement for a £100.00 Sterling cleaning / damages bond, either by way of a cheque, or as a chargeback to a credit / debit card used to pay for the accommodation. This does not limit the chargeback in cases where the damages or losses exceed £100.00 Sterling.

  8. The accommodation owners will not be held responsible for personal injury or loss / theft of personal belongings during your stay. It is a requirement that you have adequate holiday insurance in place.

  9.  Linglyn Travel only act as agents for all accommodation providers, carriers by air or otherwise, hire car proprietors and other service providers and all bookings must be accepted subject to the ticket or transport conditions and regulations of the carriers or hire car proprietors and other service providers and also subject to the laws of the country in which such carriage or other facility is provided.

  10. Linglyn Travel shall not be under any liability to the clients except as expressly provided herein, in circumstances beyond the control of the agency and in the absence of negligence.  The agency will not be held responsible for any negligence on behalf of any company for which it acts as agents only.

  11.  The agency accepts no liability for any injury, sickness, loss, damage, additional expenses or inconvenience directly or indirectly caused by or arising out of alternation of itinerary, cancellation, schedules and/or timetables or through any act or default of any company or any firm.  Air tickets are only valid for the person named thereon and both sections must be used.

  12. If you feel you have cause for complaint during your holiday, it is a legal requirement that you immediately report the matter to the owner or manager of the property or supplier of the services who will do their best to help you.  If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction you must record the details with our local agent and obtain written confirmation of the complaint lodged.  We regret we cannot accept liability in respect of complaints or claims of which we are not notified entirely in accordance with this clause as we have been deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify the problem.

  13.  We would advise clients that charter flights forming part of your holiday arrangements are based on separate contracts.  Firstly, your accommodation and other ground arrangements are confirmed by Linglyn Travel.  Secondly, your flight arrangements form a contract with a licensed ATOL tour operator of whom you will be advised and whose booking form you may be required to complete.  You will receive this tour operator’s confirmation invoice which provides protection under the ATOL bond scheme.

  14. Legal Jurisdiction:
    The Booking Form and the use of our Web Site is made on the terms of these booking conditions which are governed by English Law and both parties shall submit to the jurisdiction of English Courts at all times.
